Fully vegan, organic and natural aloe is a great edible beauty skincare ingredient on its own, but even better when combined with other edible beauty skincare ingredients in a nourishing face mask.

Whether you have oily, acne-prone or mature skin, there is definitely an organic and natural aloe face mask for you. Chuck out your non-organic and natural skincare products filled with harmful chemicals and whip up these five inexpensive, harmful chemical-free DIY organic and natural aloe face masks for every skin type instead!

1. Aloe Vera + Cucumber + Yoghurt

Before you make any of these DIY organic and natural aloe face masks, please ensure that your aloe — store-bought or otherwise — is fully vegan, organic and natural from a certified cruelty-free skincare brand.

Combining aloe with mild, organic ingredients such as cucumber and yoghurt, this first contender is refreshing and safe for sensitive skin. The cucumber soothes and hydrates without irritation, while the yoghurt is so deeply nourishing that it puts to rest all skin concerns from how to treat eczema and more!

Ingredients you’ll need:

  • 1 tablespoon of Aloe Vera or Aloe leaf juice
  • 1 teaspoon of organic and natural Cucumber, squeezed of its juice
  • 1 teaspoon of organic and natural yoghurt

Mix all the organic ingredients together and apply directly to freshly cleansed skin. Leave it on for at least 15-20 minutes and rinse off. Pat dry and follow up with your usual skincare products.

2. Aloe Vera + Organic and Natural Fresh Cream + Vitamin E (Tocopherol) Skincare Oil

More commonly known as Vitamin E, Tocopherol is a powerful organic ingredient that can be found in its purest form in our fully vegan, organic and natural Youth Elixir Liquid Foundation. It is derived from natural vegetable oil sources, and helps to naturally lighten pigmentation without the harmful chemicals. Combined with organic and natural fresh cream, this DIY organic and natural face mask blankets severely dry skin with so much nourishing goodness!

Ingredients you’ll need:

  • 1 tablespoon of Aloe Vera or Aloe leaf juice
  • 1-2 Vitamin E capsules
  • 1 teaspoon of organic and natural fresh cream

Depending on how severely dry your current skin condition is, gently prick 1-2 Vitamin E capsules with a fine needle. Pour the oil and mix it thoroughly with the organic and natural fresh cream, followed by the Aloe. Leave it on for at least 15-30 minutes. If you swipe a sheer layer onto your skin, you could even leave it on as a deeply moisturizing overnight face mask if you’d like!

3. Aloe Vera + Cinnamon + Honey

Fully vegan, organic and natural aloe has secured its rep as a potent fighter against acne. However, there are also two other organic ingredients that can axe acne: cinnamon and honey!

A study (Dr. Farhat S. Daud, Pande, G, Joshi, M, Pathak, R & Wankhede, S) even found that cinnamon can suppress and kill acne-causing bacteria such as E. coli, Staphylococcus, Candida albican microbes and more. On the other hand, the latter is a humectant that amps up the hydration and strengthens your skin’s natural healing capabilities for a potent three-in-one solution that axes acne naturally!

Ingredients you’ll need:

  • 1 tablespoon of Aloe Vera or Aloe leaf juice
  • 1 teaspoon of vegan, organic and natural cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of organic and natural honey

Combine the aloe and honey. Sprinkle the cinnamon slowly into the mixture and ensure that you have thoroughly mixed it together before applying it onto freshly cleansed skin. Leave it on for at least 5-10 minutes. Rinse off, pat dry and follow up with your usual skincare products.

4. Aloe Vera + Organic and Natural Egg White

You can have your eggs and put them on your skin, too! Eggs are the epitome of edible beauty. It is a skincare ingredient jam-packed with natural vitamins, minerals and protein to rebuild smooth and supple skin. In particular, lutein is a carotenoid vitamin that targets anti-aging concerns by helping to hydrate, tighten and tone skin with no harmful chemicals. It can even plump fine lines and wrinkles, making them less noticeable over time.

Ingredients you’ll need:

  • 1 tablespoon of Aloe Vera or Aloe leaf juice
  • 1 large organic and natural egg
  • 1 teaspoon of organic and natural honey

To obtain your organic and natural egg white, break the egg into half and hold both halves broken side up. One half should contain the egg white and yolk, and the other only egg white. Empty the egg white from the shell without the yolk into a bowl. Slide the yolk from the other half-shell into the empty shell. Pay attention to the yolk as you don’t want to pierce it and ruin the egg white! Once you’re done, combine all of the egg whites into a bowl.

Mix all the organic ingredients together and apply directly to freshly cleansed skin. Leave it on for at least 15-20 minutes, or until it dries down completely. Rinse off, pat dry and follow up with your usual skincare products.
